Rabbi Leo Dee: We Must Be A Light To The Nations; Jewish Violence Against Innocent Arabs Creates Darkness

By 06/25/2023 6:23 PMNo CommentsBy YidInfo Staff

Rabbi Leo Dee responded to recent events, including the deadly terror attack near Eli and the violent clashes that erupted in response, including the indiscriminate burning of Arab cars and homes.

Rabbi Leo Dee lost his wife and two daughters in a horrific terror attack in the Jordan Valley on Chol Hamoed Pesach.

“I applaud the brave Jew who neutralized the first terrorist and prevented further murder, as well as the IDF for locating the second terrorist and neutralizing him within hours,” he wrote.

“I am heartbroken about the terror attack in Eli, where four innocent Israelis were murdered last week, and I offer prayers for a speedy recovery for the injured.”

With the state being 75 years old and the bulk of the world’s Jews now residing in their ancestral home, Dee said, “We are here FOREVER. And our purpose? To serve as a beacon for the world.

Regarding recent riots started by Jewish activists, Rabbi Dee said: “Jewish violence against innocent Arabs is a Chilul Hashem, which only creates darkness in the world.”

He said, “The IDF is the best skilled force in the world. The elimination of terror is necessary, but this must be done by experts.

Give them the reins.

Rabbi Dee said, “Terrorizing innocent Arabs is a crime against humanity, a Chilul Hashem (a desecration of God’s name), and cannot be atoned for in a lifetime. Killing terrorists is humane and a Kiddush Hashem, a sanctification of God’s name.”

In the town of Umm Tzafa, close to Ramallah, Israelis are accused of setting Palestinian property on fire on Shabbat.

Settlements and locals engaged in violent fights, and the IDF and Border Police were compelled to use force to break up the protests.

After the Eli attack on Tuesday, settlers had already gone on the rampage in neighboring Arab communities.

In a joint statement, IDF Chief of Staff Hertzi Halevi, Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar, and Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai emphasized that “These attacks are against every moral and Jewish principle.”
