A prominent Jewish religious leader has arrived in New York on Sunday for a series of visits to Jewish communities.
Hagaon HaRav Dov Landau, Rosh Yeshiva of Slabodka, who is visiting the United States for the first time was picked up from the airport by Yankie Meyer of Misaskim.
Rav Landau, a member of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Degel Hatorah, is the rov of Chug Chazon Ish and one of the ziknei gedolei roshei yeshivos of Eretz Yisroel.
Rav Landau, 93 is set to stay at the home of philanthropist R’ Shimon Glick in Monsey.
In his US visit, he plans to visit Yeshivas in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Lakewood, and Far Rockaway.
