RFK and Dov Hikind Visit Rebbe’s Ohel

On Monday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. went to the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens, nearly six decades after his father, Robert F. Kennedy Sr., did it in Brooklyn. Dov Hikind, a former NYS assemblyman who recently spoke out in support of RFK Jr., accompanied RFK. Kennedy entered the Ohel building and prayed in silence after writing a letter asking for blessings.

Prior to the visit, RFK Jr. spoke with Hikind for an interview and declared that he was a “rock of Gibraltar” for Jews and the Jewish state, following in the footsteps of his father, his uncles, Presidents Harry Truman and Franklin Roosevelt, as well as his uncles, Sen. Ted Kennedy and President John F. Kennedy.

Hikind vigorously defended Kennedy, a Democrat running for president, in a video that was posted this week in response to COVID’s contentious remarks on Jews that many felt evoked antisemitic stereotypes.

Later this week, he intends to publish an interview he had with RFK.
When Robert F. Kennedy was vying for the US Senate in 1964, he went to 770 Eastern Parkway to meet the Rebbe.

Kennedy and the Rebbe discussed a number of current events. The Rebbe emphasized the need for a more thorough, values-based education as well as the recent rise in urban crime and drug usage, particularly among young people.

They talked about education, government support for religious education, and other things.
