
Police announced Thursday that a third person had passed away after being hurt in a stampede at a weekend rap performance.
Following a Sunday night performance by Memphis, Tennessee, rap stars GloRilla and Finesse2tymes at the Rochester Main Street Armory, only Aisha Stephens, 35, of Syracuse, was still in the hospital,Wednesday night, she passed away.
Brandy Miller, 35, of Rochester, and Rhondesia Belton, 33, of Buffalo, also perished after being engulfed in a crowd of concertgoers who rushed for the exits following the performance.
Authorities claimed that erroneous fears of shooting may have caused the stampede.
On Wednesday, the city suspended the venue’s entertainment permit as authorities looked into the matter.
Several emails seeking feedback from the owner of the armory have yet to be answered.
