Two terrorists were eliminated by Judea and Samaria Border Police during an operation early on Tuesday in the Aqabat-Jaber refugee camp north of Yericho.
Terrorists opened fire on the forces from close range as they were beginning an arrest operation inside the camp. The SWAT team shot back at the terrorists, killing them here and there. For the unit, there were no casualties.
Terrorists attempted to launch missiles from Jenin onto nearby Jewish towns in a separate incident that happened on Tuesday.
The homemade rocket and launcher remnants were found by IDF forces. EOD specialists are on the scene to check for the existence of explosives. Security forces will handle the leftovers after they have been moved.
The suspects who launched the rockets are being sought by the IDF.
The terrorist organization Al-Ayyash Battalion asserted earlier on Tuesday that it had successfully launched a Qassam 1 rocket in the direction of the northern Samaria settlement of Shaked.
This was Al-Ayyash’s sixth attempt to send a missile into Israeli-controlled territory in recent months.
