After the recent revelations of former President Donald Trump’s opinions about Benjamin Netanyahu, Mike Evans, a former Trump adviser, and senior evangelical who is very close to Bibi, sent a letter to Trump, saying he was “horrified” by Trump’s recent comments.

The letter that was addressed to Trump, and was sent to the Washington Post implored the former US President to change his stance on the matter, with Evans saying, “Please, I beg of you, don’t put us in the position to choose between you and Bible land. There is no possibility you can win again if Bible-believing evangelicals see you as the ‘F–k Netanyahu’ president who . . . blames the State of Israel, and not the Palestinians, for not making peace.”

The letter came after the release of an Axios interview with Trump by Israeli journalist Barak Ravid in which Trump lashed out at Netanyahu over the Israeli leader’s congratulations to US President Joe Biden after he won the presidency last year, saying, “He was very early. Like earlier than most. I haven’t spoken to him since. F-k him.” Despite Trump’s anger, Netanyahu was actually quite late in congratulating Biden in November of last year, long hours after many other world leaders.

Evans continued his letter as he warned Trump to “understand that Benjamin Netanyahu,” saying that in his view the Israeli, “has much greater support among evangelicals in America than you.”
