After an observant Jew wearing a kippah and tzitzis stopped the simulated suicide attempt, a sociological experiment by the French YouTuber Dimerci TV went viral.
Was it a chance act of bravery where the rescuer just so happened to be in the right location at the right time? or even something completely different?
According to reports, the French YouTuber was undertaking a social experiment. In an effort to set himself on fire, he stood in the middle of a busy street and doused himself in what seemed to be flammable liquid.
Most onlookers kept their distance and seemed unfazed as they watched the incident.
In order to save him and stop the suicide, an ultra-orthodox man wearing a kippah and tzitzis steps in and knocks the lighter out of his hands.
The courageous Jew, @mendelnarbon, who intervened to prevent the man from ostensibly committing suicide appeared to have made a significant Kiddush Hashem by risking his life in the process.
