An elderly man got the shock of his life when a intoxicated male smashed the window of a car occupied by a visibly Jewish couple.
The unprovoked attack happened on Tuesday, February 23 at 4:15 p.m in Boro Park at East 3rd Street and 18th Avenue. The older couple was sitting in their car when the male culprit broke the mirror, began yelling at the couple, and tried strangling the male passenger with his necktie.
Boro Park Shomrim arrived at the scene, and the suspect was placed under arrest by the NYPD. It is unclear if this attack was a hate crime. The attacker is being charged with vandalism.
