On Shabbos, a 6-year-old Israeli child from the chareidi settlement of Tel Tziyon was injured after being hit by gunfire while playing outside her home.
The rounds appeared to be stray bullets fired from the nearby Arab village of Qalandiya, near Ramallah.
According to the Magen David Adom ambulance service, the girl, Bracha Sulam, was playing in her yard at home when she was hit by the gunshots, injuring her moderately.
Paramedics transported her to a hospital in Jerusalem, where she was reported to be in light-to-moderate condition, completely conscious and stable.
The IDF is investigating the incident.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the girl was hit by a stray bullet from the area of Qalandiya in Ramallah, north of Jerusalem.
The military stated that it was looking into the matter further.
The incident occurred after the Defense Ministry reported that guards at a West Bank crossing stopped a planned stabbing attack; it also followed an attack in the northern West Bank Friday night, when an Israeli security vehicle came under fire.
