In the past two weeks, the Jewish community in Pensacola, Florida, is said to have been terrorized by a string of crimes reportedly committed by three kids and one adult.

Black swastikas were spray-painted on a residence, and bricks with swastikas drawn on them were thrown through synagogue windows. Waylon Fowler, 17, Wyatt Fowler, 15, Nicholas Ferry, 16, and Kessler Ferry, 18, were all detained and charged with the charges by local law enforcement.

The Fowlers were charged with felony criminal mischief on seven charges, which were later upgraded to hate crimes, as well as misdemeanor criminal mischief on one count and felony trespassing on another.

Kessler Ferry was charged with one count of felony criminal mischief, while Nicholas Ferry was charged with four charges.

Both accusations have been upgraded to hate crimes. Police warned that other vandals who may have been involved would soon be in handcuffs as well. According to Eric Randall, chief of police in Pensacola, “We hope that these arrests can bring comfort and closure not only to those in our Jewish community but to all citizens of this great city.”
