
The terrorists suspected of killing Staff Sergeant Ido Baruch were captured Monday in Shechem due to a joint effort between IDF forces, Shin Bet agents, and police units.
On October 11, 2022, while on a security patrol close to the neighborhood of Shavei Shomron, Baruch was shot and died (16 Tishrei 5783). Terrorists left the area.
Obkamel Guri and Asama Tuille, two terrorists from (Shechem) suspected of carrying out the shooting attack in which Staff Sergeant Ido Baruch was killed, were apprehended by the combined security forces during the rescue operation.
The military also captured three more suspects who were accompanying the terrorists.
Since the incident, the Shin Bet has focused intelligence and other operational efforts on locating a terrorist hideout apartment.
The suspects were wounded and taken into custody by the IDF after the soldiers entered the hiding flat on Sunday night and engaged in a firefight.
Additionally, two M-16 rifles used by the terrorists were seized. The operation left no IDF members hurt.
