Eary travelers rejoice! Tesla just announced a special gift for all pre-dawn road travelers: free vehicle charging at certain Supercharger locations.
If you get to any Tesla charging station across the country before 10 AM, or after 7 PM, you’ll be able to juice up your vehicle at absolutely no cost! In a post announcing the gift on Twitter, Tesla said, “Avoid the rush this holiday season and charge for free during off‑peak hours at Superchargers along select travel routes in the United States.”

The free charging access will be made available starting Thursday, December 23, 2021 – Sunday, December 26, 2021, and here are the stations that will be part of the holiday supercharging initiative: https://www.tesla.com/holiday-supercharging
The deal is only available at 75 supercharging destinations out of about 1,400 Tesla Supercharger locations in the US, and comes right before peak holiday travel season when an estimated 100 million Americans will be on the road to visit family or friends.
Most of the eligible stations are located in California, which accounted for more than half of all Tesla registrations in the US between April and June 2021. Long lines are frequent at the Supercharger stations here, where wait times can exceed two hours.
Meanwhile, only three stations in Pennsylvania are eligible, located along an almost 200-mile route leading to New York City.
