The trend of Jews in NYC being targeted by the Mayor and Governor continues. The Boro Park community is shocked and heartbroken to see how NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio are singling out and targeting the Boro Park Community for not complying with the social distance guidelines while totally ignoring weeks of mass rioting where thousands were in attendance with zero social distancing and barely anyone wearing masks,
While the building department has shown up to some wedding halls recently, we haven’t seen anything of the likes when it came to mass protests and looting.
This comes after the mayor back in May singled out the Jewish community in Williamsburg for a funeral in a series of tweets even saying it’s all from “tough love” for the community.
We’ve made incredible progress in the fight against COVID-19, but we can’t let our guard down. We’ve seen an uptick in Borough Park. We’ll be doing community outreach. Keep doing what works: avoid large gatherings, practice social distancing and wear a face covering.

We also remind our readers of the double standard by the NYC Sheriff’s that while stores and people in Jewish neighborhoods in the city were constantly ticked for non-compliance when it came to wearing masks, in other city neighborhoods they were out handing out masks.
Community member and Holocaust Survivor David Solomon tells YidInfo.net that targeting and singling out Jews isn’t a new phenomenon reminding him of the horrifying times during World War II. Seems like the only way to be left alone would be if we started chanting anti-police rhetoric at weddings as that seems to work at the large protests.
