The Communications Committee of the Gerer Chasidic sect published a statement in the sect’s numerous shuls outlining “loopholes in multimedia systems in cars” and emphasizing that Tesla cars, which contain systems that cannot be filtered, should not be bought or utilized.
According to the declaration, which is titled “Bal Yeraeh U’Bal Yimatze” [should not be seen or found], “after multiple events and tragedies which occurred, we are forced to warn and issue an alarm that unfiltered appliances should not be seen or found in our camp in any form, both apparent and concealed.
It has also come to light that many vehicles have open multimedia systems connected to the Internet.
In most circumstances, the unfiltered internet can be easily accessed with several destructive incidents occurring. May Hashem have compassion, even though the company claimed that it was filtered or the users believe it has nothing unpleasant.
According to the declaration, “every person” was responsible for “not bringing such impediments to himself or his children and [not] maintaining a dangerous phone appliance without a filter or supervision in his possession.”
The statement stated that “Tesla vehicles cannot be detached at all from the internet system and therefore should not” be used with the Waze software on any vehicle systems.
