On Monday, the Monsey Fire Department made extensive use of its resources—but not to fight a fire. In its place, the scheduled Chabad Simchas Bais HaShoeiva at Monsey’s Park & Ride received a response for an intentional spill of foul-smelling sludge.
Who is to blame? the infamous thugs from the radical “Neturei Karta” group who regularly disrupt Chabad’s simchas bais hashoeiva there.
This year, Neturei Karta made an attempt to disrupt the event by dumping offensive chemicals at the Park & Ride, rendering the space unusable.
Fortunately, the celebration will go on despite Neturei Karta’s repugnant action, courtesy of the Monsey Fire Department and Town of Ramapo Highway Department.
Its members are striving to swiftly clear the area of all sewage so that the happy occasion can proceed as planned.
