Last week, a study has shown that middle-aged and older people need only seven hours each night for ideal rest and recovery.
The research published in Nature Aging studied almost 500,000 people between the ages of 38 and 73.
Their study found out that exactly seven hours of sleep consistently saw better mental health, better memory, increased ability to pay attention, and fewer symptoms of depression.
To get the data, the researchers used U.K.’s Biobank program and completed by researchers from the U.K. and China.
Sources said the method relied on participants reporting their own nights of sleep.
