An unsettling occurrence occurred on Monday night when an armed robbery occurred against a Jewish man near McDonald Avenue and Avenue S, in front of the Magen David Yeshiva.

The offenders brandished a gun while stealing the victim’s wallet and watch. According to early reports, the same crew may have participated in a further robbery soon after the initial event. Authorities have requested the public’s help in locating the suspects, who were last seen fleeing the scene in a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee.

It is advised that anyone who sees these people or the suspicious car call 911 and Flatbush Shomrim at 718-338-9797. Law enforcement’s search efforts can be greatly aided by prompt reporting of any sightings.

The Magen David Yeshiva (MDY) reported the unsettling incident in a statement, noting that it took place roughly 45 minutes after their security staff had finished their regular tasks.

The Yeshiva immediately alerted the NYPD and Shomrim after learning of the occurrence. In response to this disturbing event, MDY has increased external security coverage outside of school hours. To safeguard the security of its students and the larger society, the school is dedicated to further increasing security measures in all relevant areas.

Thankfully, no injuries related to these illegal actions were reported. Patrols in the neighborhood have been stepped up by the NYPD and Flatbush Shomrim.
