The Orlando Neo-Nazi Demonstrator Who Placed Anti-Semitic Posters Along I-4 Has Been Arrested, According to the FDLE

Jason Brown, 48, of Cape Canaveral, was detained by Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) agents and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) for erecting swastikas and other antisemitic banners along the Daryl Carter Parkway Bridge in Orlando.

Three arrest warrants for further demonstrators who reside out-of-state and whose conduct violated recently adopted state law are still pending. House Bill 269, which Governor Ron DeSantis signed earlier this year, forbids anybody from projecting or exhibiting images on a building, structure, or piece of property without authorization.

“We want to thank Governor DeSantis for his support of law enforcement and for signing HB 269, giving us the tools to arrest this hate-filled radical,” stated FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass. Florida, the largest state in the union, will not allow this behavior.

“Florida is a state of law and order. Executive Director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Dave Kerner stated that today’s arrest “demonstrates Florida’s commitment to protecting residents from attention-seeking extremists.”

Thank you, Governor DeSantis, for working to rid this state of intimidation, vitriol, and hate directed at people of faith and for empowering law enforcement to do the same.

This is on behalf of Colonel Gary L. Howze, II, and the nearly 2,000 FHP State Troopers who enforce our state law 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Without acquiring formal consent, the suspects erected flags along a fence on June 10—a violation of state law. The banners, which hung directly above I-4, carried racist sentiments and Swastika flags.

The detained suspect declares membership in the extreme antisemitic organization “Order of the Black Sun.” Criminal mischief will be the accusation against the suspect.
