According to Chaim V’Chessed, efforts made by Jewish groups to help Americans stuck in Israel appear to have been successful.
The US State Department recently sent an unexpected notice to Americans living abroad: The Department of State will help with the transportation of US citizens attempting to leave Israel in the coming days.
These choices will include flying and sailing. No citizens will be brought to the USA. Instead, they will be left behind in a number of places, most likely in Europe. From there, they’ll have to find a way home on their own.
As advised by Chaim V’Chessed on Monday, messages outlining this plan were distributed to those citizens who had registered with the State Department. If recipients are interested in participating, they are instructed to reply to the email.
The specifics of this strategy will be completed in the upcoming hours and days, Chaim V’Chessed has heard.
