The Start Menu:
One of the most evident of the changes with the update is the start menu in Windows 10, which will now feature more transparent effects as compared to the previous bold and solid colors, helping it blend better with your device’s desktop Theme. The new feature has also made it easier on the eye to find out where the app you’re looking for is placed.
The Alt+Tab Changes:
The new Windows 10 October 2020 Update has also changed one of the most-used keyboard shortcuts – Alt + Tab. Earlier, when pressing the two keys simultaneously, users can switch between open apps using an on-screen menu. With the new update, you’ll also be able to scroll through open Edge tabs as well. If you use Edge as your web browser, this could be a handy way to quickly switch to a website.
This being made available, Microsoft is allowing Windows 10 users to switch back to the classic Alt-Tab experience, as well.

For Gamers:
Whilst it was a tough ordeal to keep a tab on monitor refresh rates in Windows, many users frequently missed out on accessing 144Hz or higher modes on their monitors. The new update makes this a whole lot easier for gamers since now, users can switch to higher refresh rates directly within the Windows 10 settings panel.
All you need to do is go on Settings > System > Display, Advanced display settings and make the change. This alternative is a blessing for players, especially since it cuts the time needed at jumping into a legacy interface buried in settings or having to control this from AMD or Nvidia’s apps.
Other updates include app-logo-led notifications to make them easier to manage and identify, a decluttered taskbar, and the discarding of the tablet mode notification if you’re using a 2-in-1 laptop.
