The first thunderstorm of the day, which might bring spells of heavy rain, is predicted to arrive at 10 a.m., according to AccuWeather.
Travelers should be mindful of decreased visibility during periods of heavy rain since the monday’s downpours may result in ponding on roads and possibly a flash flood.
On Staten Island and throughout the five boroughs, humidity is close to 90%, making Monday wet and sticky as temperatures stay around 75 degrees.
