The Paley family, who lost two kids in a terrorist ramming attack last month—Asher Menachem, 7, and Yaakov Yisrael, 5—celebrated the birth of their new baby, Yehonasan Refael, in a heartbreaking Bris ceremony that took place in Jerusalem on Wednesday morning.
While in a wheelchair and holding his newborn son, Rabbi Avraham Noach Paley, who was gravely hurt in the attack and didn’t regain consciousness until three weeks later, said the pesukim with emotion.
The grandfather read the Brachos while Rabbi Dan Segal served as the baby’s sandek.
