The White House Covid Czar played down the alarming lack of antibiotics and analgesics on Sunday while praising the Covid and flu immunizations.
ABC News questioned Dr. Ashish Jha about the amoxicillin and ibuprofen shortages.
He oddly retorted that the “supply chain issue” with medications had been around for a long time.
His evidence? A personal anecdote about being unable to find specific meds in a hospital.
His assertion seems to be without merit. Over the years, there hasn’t been any evidence of a national shortage of medications.
Dr. Jha is unaware that a local hospital’s medicine shortage is not a “supply chain problem.”
The good thing is there are lots of vaccines for the flu and Covid, Jha swiftly said, which is a comfort.
Jha made news last week when he bragged about his vast religious understanding and claimed that “G-d gave us two arms” so that people may have the flu shot in one and the Covid shot in the other.
