
When a big church in New Jersey caught fire, its roof collapsed as more than 150 firefighters battled to put it out.
On Monday night, the video showed the Florence Township’s Fountain of Life Center on fire.
The fire started about 6 p.m. and was not believed to have caused any injuries. Monday. It wasn’t immediately clear what caused it.
Senior pastor Russell Hodgins said his grandparents worked in its construction and told Philadelphia’s KYW-TV that the loss was “devastating.”
Hodgins told the station, “The church is truly the body of believers. The church is not brick and stone.” In my opinion, God will get us through this, and the church will come out more vital than ever.
According to the center’s website, it is a 120,000-square-foot multipurpose building with a preschool, basketball courts, and a fitness center.
According to news reports, the school and recreation building was spared from the blaze.
