A commercial warehouse caught fire on Monday in a Chicago suburb, sending up a massive plume of smoke that could be seen for miles.
Around midday, according to city spokesman David Ormsby, the morning fire at Chicago Heights-based furniture and fixture manufacturer Morgan Li was put out.
No injuries were recorded. Unknown at the time was the fire’s origin.
The fact that all of our employees are safe and accounted for is more important than the fire’s extensive destruction, according to Morgan Li on Facebook.
The business declared, “We will do everything we can to recover what was lost and keep supporting our people and the broader Chicago Heights community.
Morgan Li declared that it had purchased the Chicago Heights property a year ago.
One of the company’s five manufacturing facilities was the scene of the incident, but all other operational locations will still provide customer assistance, according to the business.
