On Thursday, the White House announced that President Joe Biden, who is fully vaccinated, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The White House says Biden, 79, who is also twice boosted, is suffering from mild symptoms of the coronavirus.
“Folks, I’m doing great,” Biden tweeted.

According to reports, despite his condition, Biden will continue to participate in his planned meetings at the White House “via phone and Zoom from the residence.”
House Press Secretary Jean-Pierre said Biden will stay in isolation until he gets cured of his sickness.
For first lady Jill Biden’s part, she told reporters that her husband is doing well.
Dr. Ashish Jha, the White House COVID coordinator, said Biden has a runny nose and fatigue, but no fever.
Moreover, it was learned that Biden’s positive test comes as the highly transmissible omicron variant is the dominant strain in the U.S., but scientists say it poses a lower risk for severe illness for those who are up to date on their vaccinations.
