On Monday, a Hasidic man experienced harassment while riding the J train from Brooklyn to Manhattan.
Another train passenger tweeted about the incident, calling it “terrifying to behold.”
The witness stated that when the Hasidic guy was approached by a thug drinking from a bottle of strong liquor, he was “basically doing nothing except sitting on the train minding his business.”
The Hasidic Jewish guy was “harassed and berated while being called every derogatory word in the book,” according to the witness.
It was even more terrifying when he threatened to strike the victim “and NYPD won’t do anything about it.”
At Bowery Street, the attacker eventually exited the train.
This incident highlights the sad state of affairs in New York City, where criminals feel empowered to commit violent crimes without worrying about facing the consequences.
