During the UN general assembly meetings, members of the Neturei Karta organization met and even embraced Iran’s leader, Ebrahim Raisi, in a surprising show of support for Israel’s worst enemy.
After they showed him pictures of their activities, Raisi said, “I have heard that there are Jews who are anti-Zionists. It is a great thing, and at this morning’s interfaith dialogue, I reiterated that I have no issue with the Jewish faith, with the Torah,” adding that “the only issue is with the Zionists.”
During the Netanyahu-Biden meeting, Neturei Karta members also held a protest outside the UN, claiming that “Israel and all of its criminal actions are forbidden according to Judaism and that Israeli spokespeople do not represent world Jewry.”
