Israeli police officers used a covert operation to apprehend Arab rock throwers who were targeting Jewish vehicles.
They did this by pretending to be Charedim.
The Shalem police station in Jerusalem served as the base of the extraordinary operation.
A police minibus was transformed into a passenger car for the general public. For the mission, some investigators dressed in Charedi clothing.
Young Arab men on the side of the road observed the team’s bus as it entered the Issawiya district in eastern Jerusalem and started throwing rocks at it.
A foot chase that was captured on camera began when the uniformed squads and disguised detectives departed the van.
The attackers, who both resided in eastern Jerusalem and were both 14 and 16 years old, were apprehended and taken into custody.
In response to incidents in which stones were thrown at passing vehicles, the commander of the Shalem station, Dvir Tamim, stated: “Yesterday, we carried out another creative and proactive activity.
Because the suspects’ serious crimes could easily result in injury to human life, we are working to find and apprehend them.
We’ll keep taking bold actions and being tenacious in our pursuit of anyone who tosses rocks at innocent people.
