Israeli soccer coach Barak Bachar, who is in charge of Red Star Belgrade, delivered a ferocious speech to sports reporters in Germany in which he expressed his resentment and disgust for the various soccer teams’ lack of concern for the horrible atrocities committed against Israelis by Hamas.
Prior to his team’s match against Leipzig, Bachar appeared at a news conference and went into great detail about the crimes committed by the terrible terrorists.
He said that many of the innocent, peace-loving victims were fans of renowned soccer teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool, and others. However, none of these clubs made the moral choice to denounce the atrocities or even bring them up.
According to Bachar, “The football world is very disappointing, and I wonder: “Is it just about money? Can you buy justice and values with money? “He emphasized that German teams, like Dortmund, Mainz, and Bayern Munich, spoke out and supported the victims.
This was described by him as “a little light in the dark sea of silence.” Many Israelis are “broken in body and spirit,” according to Bachar, who was nearly in tears while speaking.
The Israeli spirit, however, will not be broken, and we will triumph because we have no other option. Yisrael Chai, Amen.
