A shocking new video shows an Uber driver insulting his Jewish customer in anti-Semitic remarks.
The driver in the video, which Twitter user Jason Bedrick posted, asks the passenger whether he attends church to pray to God.
The passenger replies, “Yes, I pray to God.”
The driver is asked, “What were you saying? There are too many Jews in this part? ” after a brief period of silence.
“Yes, there are way too many Jews,” the driver says.
In a later tweet, Bedrick confirmed that the driver had mentioned too many Jews in Brooklyn before he began shooting after spotting a group of Chasidim.
He began filming him to get him to repeat what he had said.
According to Bedrick, “the last fifteen minutes of the drive were very peaceful.”
But at least I wasn’t severely assaulted, given a brick to the face, or punched in the back of the skull like many Chasidim in Brooklyn had recently.
Uber seized on the thread just six minutes after Bedrick published his video to Twitter and requested that Bedrick DM them with the information for his account so they could look into the matter further.
It was dark when my Uber driver picked me up, so he probably didn’t notice that I‘m Jewish.
Otherwise, when passing by a group of Chasidim, he probably wouldn’t have started complaining that there are too many Jews in Brooklyn. pic.twitter.com/4NdgjHCr73
