A citizen of the Sharon area was detained on suspicion of uttering threats and inciting others to commit crimes after he was seen advocating for the assassination of the prime minister and his family on social media platforms and expressing hatred toward chareidim.
After learning about the 70-year-old man’s claims, Petah Tikva police detained him for questioning. He was given a curfew for his release.
They should kill someone; it’s the only way they would understand, the man was heard saying. “Some people have to die; I want the blood to be spilled; I hope they toss some grenades so there will be pandemonium.”
He continued cursing Prime Minister Netanyahu, his wife, and his son, saying, “we have to kill them, guys.”
The man continued his tirade by saying, “There is a train line nearby with cables; let them hang by their Tefillin from here to Bnei Brak,” about Charedim.
Today, I detest kippah wearers in general. They are to blame. The religious folks are *expletive, and I can’t tolerate them. I’m sorry to report that they put me in a position where I despise everyone who wears a kippah.
Some public figures have urged attacks against Netanyahu recently, including Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai and Israeli pilot Zeev Raz, who said that Netanyahu “deserves to die” and invoked the Rodeif rule.
