NYC Mayor Eric Adams, Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell, Joel Eisdorfer, Senior Advisor to the Mayor; Chief of NYPD Intelligence Tom Galati, NYPD Inspector Richie Taylor, and other NYPD officials held an emergency security briefing via Zoom with Jewish community leaders today regarding the recent threat to Jewish institutions and uptick in anti-Semitism.

Additionally, it was announced that NYPD officers would be going from synagogue to synagogue where there would be a large increase in patrol throughout the entire Shabbos, similar to Yom Tov patrols.

Over 400 Jewish community leaders from different parts of New York City participated on the Zoom call.

As the threat is reportedly based in New Jersey, their is no reason to be alarmed at this moment; everything being done is only a precaution.
