An IDF position in Shechem’s Shomronim (Samaritans) district came under fire early on Tuesday.
The three terrorists were shot and killed by IDF forces after they engaged them and fired at them from a moving vehicle.
Soldiers from the IDF were unharmed.
According to preliminary findings, Battalion 603 of the Engineering Corps was engaged in operations in the Shomronim area when a car unexpectedly came and a terrorist stepped out, firing at the authorities.
The three terrorists, who were armed with M16s and ammunition, were all killed by the military after they returned fire.
In the unstable area, this was not the first terrorist strike of the day. Eight bullets were fired at a bus on Monday night in the nearby village of Huwara, which is near Shechem, but thankfully no one was hurt.
IDF personnel carried out a counterterrorism operation in the Samaria refugee camp of Nur al-Shams early on Monday morning.
An area with more than 10 explosives was discovered during the operation, which featured soldiers and heavy engineering vehicles.
Some of the explosives were buried in mines similar to those recently discovered in Jenin.
During the operation, terrorists detonated a number of bombs near IDF troops. Nobody in the military was hurt.
The forces also questioned wanted terrorists and looked for more minefields and explosives laboratories.
