Wish you could change the tone of that rude text you just sent?
Users of WhatsApp can do this for up to 15 minutes after sending a message.
The well-known chat app stated via a blog post on Monday that users could edit messages sent to friends, family, and coworkers to fix typos, add extra information, or do other things.
According to the firm owned by Facebook parent Meta, the option to modify messages has been rolling out to people worldwide and will be accessible to all users in the upcoming weeks.
Press and hold the sent message and select “edit” to make changes; the message will display “edited,” but others who receive it won’t be able to see the edit history, according to WhatsApp.
In a system update from last year, Apple made the public option to modify and unsend messages between iPhones.
According to the company, people on the receiving end can see the edit history and that a message was not sent.
