
On Tuesday, Whatsapp rolled out a set of all-new updates to its Wallpaper options, while also making several changes to the Sticker Search features as well. The new update adds four improvements to WhatsApp wallpapers including a separate ‘Bright’ and ‘Dark’ mode for a better chat experience.

The latest Whatsapp update released by Facebook on Tuesday has rolled-out improved wallpapers and sticker searches to over 2 billion people worldwide. The latest update features a custom chat wallpaper backgrounds in which users can, “Make your chats personal and distinguishable by using a custom wallpaper for your most important chats and favorite people, and you never need to worry about sending the wrong message in the wrong chat ever again,” according to Facebook. Along with this, the instant messaging platform has added new wallpapers for the users as well.
“This week we are starting to release some new updates to WhatsApp, including improvements to Wallpapers, the launch of a search feature for Stickers, and a new animated sticker pack. Wallpapers on WhatsApp are seeing four major updates – custom chat wallpapers, additional doodle wallpapers, an updated stock wallpaper gallery, and the ability to set separate wallpapers for light and dark mode settings,” the company said in a statement.

As part of the new wallpaper update, users can choose light and dark mode settings, in which you can “Watch your chat wallpaper automatically transition as your phone device setting switches from light to dark mode,” says Facebook. Furthermore, Doodle wallpapers can now be found in more colors, and the platform says it has selected new, diverse, and iconic images of nature and architecture from around the world, as well as eye-catching new designs.
On the Stricker search front, users can now easily search and find stickers with text or emoji or browse through common sticker categories. WhatsApp says it encourages sticker app creators to tag their stickers with emojis and text moving forward, so their stickers are searchable for WhatsApp users. The World’s Health Organization’s “Together at Home” sticker pack has now also been made available as animated stickers and is included with text localized for 9 languages – Arabic, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.
