A crazed driver who was teasing Boro Park car drivers by driving slow was arrested by the NYPD on Tuesday afternoon with the help of Boro Park Shomrim after he vandalized a vehicle and then punched a man in the face.

The incident occurred at around 7:20 Pm at 15th Avenue & 49th Street, when a man purposely driving slow ‐ teasing other drivers – got into a dispute with another driver when he started honking – signaling he should drive faster. After a small dispute, the crazed driver punched the window of the honking vehicle behind him. The driver of the vehicle then jumped into his car attempting to flee the scene.

Boro Park Shomrim and the NYPD were called to the scene, while witnesses on the street were following the suspect.

Eventually, the driver of the vandalized vehicle came out of his car on Fort Hamilton Parkway & 58th Street and confronted the suspect to pay for the damages. The suspect, completely out of control, punched the driver of the vandalized vehicle in his face.

Immediately, Shomrim jumped into action and boxed in the car of the suspect, preventing him from fleeing the scene until the NYPD arrived.

After the NYPD arrived on the scene, the suspect was taken into custody for vandalizing a vehicle, but unfortunately, in de Blasio’s NYC, he won’t be charged for assault since the victim didn’t have any obvious injuries.
