On Wednesday morning, a gun attack happened close to Hamra Junction in the Jordan Valley, close to the location where three members of the Dee family were killed in April.
A 32-year-old lady was reported to have suffered just minor injuries and was transported to Hadassah Mount Scopus Medical Center.
The offenders fled the scene, and Israeli security personnel are searching the area for them.
According to a Hadassah Mount Scopus update, the victim arrived at the trauma center of the hospital fully conscious, in fair condition, and with shrapnel wounds to her face.
When a terrorist opened fire at them from a passing car, the wife, her husband, and their two kids—ages six and nine—were all driving with them. On the family’s car, six gunshot marks were visible.
The father, Rafael, told Kan Reshet Bet: “We were coming back from a holiday in the north when I saw a car with Palestinian license plates turning around on the road and making a suspicious movement.
The car returned to its lane and started heading in my direction as I halted 20 meters in front of it. He crossed the line, blocked me, and the passenger got out with an M-16 and started shooting when he was two meters away from us.
“My wife said, ‘It’s a terror attack; get into the terrorists’ car headed directly for Shechem.”
“I thought that was it,” he continued. According to Channel 12 News, the Hamas terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the bombing and stated that it was “a response to the crimes of the occupation against our people and the holy sites.”
The assault occurred the day after a terrorist tried a stabbing attack in the Southern Hevron hills and six Israelis were hurt in an attack in Ma’ale Adumim. There were no injuries in the attack, and the terrorist was killed.
