A stunning orb located at the bayfront of Singapore, the new and extravagant Apple showroom in Singapore is an extremely eye-catching architecture. A perfect addition to the scenic Singaporean skyline, this UFO-like outlandish structure serves as a unique way to wow people.
Despite the economic strains of the pandemic situation and a shaky retail network, the iPhone maker’s newest retail location, located in Singapore is a pricey yet phenomenally designed orb that looks like it has arrived from out of this world. Located at the city-state’s waterfront and known officially as ‘Apple Marina Bay Sands’, this is the only Apple retail shop on the planet that floats on water.
The third store set to make its entrance in the buzzing Singaporean market and this particular location is part of Singapore’s most visited luxury hotels, casino and tourist hotspot. In March of this year, Singapore’s national daily ‘The Straits Times’ reported that Apple was planning to open two new stores in Singapore, one in Jewel Changi Airport, and another right by Marina Bay Sands.

Rumored to be designed by Singapore’s popular Apple Showroom designers Foster and Brothers, the report notes that the prime waterfront location would come with a hefty price tag. Previously, the space was occupied by “mega nightclub” Avalon from 2011 to 2016. The initial report in March by TST also noted that the orb will be linked to a nearby shopping center by way of an underwater passageway.
“We will soon open the doors to our new store by the Bay. Apple Marina Bay Sands will be at the heart of creativity, a place we’ve made for you to capture your ideas and passions,” said the description on Apple’s web page for the retail location. “It will be a space for you to explore, connect, and create something new. We can’t wait to see where your imagination takes you”, it added, hinting at something out-of-the-ordinary.
This being said, if Apple truly opens it’s doors to the audience via a showroom as awe-inspiring as this one, they might just be raising the bar with one of the most striking Apple retail locations anywhere in the world.
